Who’s Who: the Abbot’s Mill Project team

Jo Kidd

Jo Kidd is Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Abbot’s Mill Project and a vegan since 2003. Her background is in social and political anthropology, social enterprises and social movements. She was the Co-Founder of the Skillnet Group CIC (now called bemix CIC), and CEO for 11 years. Her working life  has mainly focused on human rights, animal rights and earth rights, advocacy and campaigning. She is now busy creating a veganic, forest farm near Faversham (Tree of Life Veganics) as well as home educating her daughter, Rosa.

Derek Read

Derek chairs the Abbot’s Mill Project. He is a retired company director who worked in the IT industry for over 40 years.

Nicola Waddington

Nicola supports the Abbot’s Mill Project as historian. She is an archivist and historian by profession.

Stephanie Boucher

Stephanie is the website coordinator for the Abbot’s Mill Project. She has worked for 15 years in webdesign and is a Christian with a deep interest in the environment and sustainability.

Tim Landsman

Tim is Company Secretary for the Abbot’s Mill Project. He is a retired Management Consultant and active Quaker, he has worked with a number of peacebuilding organisations over the years as well as for a community farm and a conservation charity.

Corey Wrenn

Dr Corey Wrenn is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Kent and specialist in Veganism, Social Movements, Environmental Politics, and Critical Animal Studies.

Terry Thompson

Co-Founder and technical director

Monica looks after the Abbot’s Mill Project social media accounts and e-newsletters. Her background is in digital communications, community engagement, and social and environmental anthropology.
